Wooden Table for Dior Tea House

Project for Dior Bamboo Pavilion

material :Oak, Stainless Steel, IH Cooking Heater
Manufacturer : Kengo Babata
Special Thanks to wood - furniture + 1

A table designed for the Tea House at the Dior Bamboo Pavilion.

It was conceived as a ryūrei-style table, allowing guests to be seated on chairs while participating in a tea ceremony. On the host’s side of the tabletop, it is equipped with an IH heater for a cast-iron kettle and a hōroku, as well as a stainless-steel water receptacle for discarding hot water.

To serve as a visual focal point when the tea house doors are opened, the table legs are made from solid logs of chinquapin sourced from Kagawa Prefecture.
